If you request a book from another library in the CLAMS network, it gets delivered through a statewide delivery system. Each book has a routing slip in it so that it will be delivered to the correct library.

Our former Circulation Assistant Courtney is now working at the Truro Library, and she sends us notes and quotes on the routing slips from time to time.

This ledger was recently donated to the Sturgis Library, after being stored in a barn in Yarmouth Port for a number of years. It has about 30 pages of handwritten listings for a hardware or masonry business from 1903-1905. The names listed didn't appear to be from Cape Cod, so with a little investigative work online, we discovered it was for a turn-of-the-century business in Hinsdale, Illinois. We contacted the Hinsdale Historical Society, and they verified that the names listed were local, and they would be thrilled to have it in their collections. It is now making its way back home via the U.S. Postal Service. Safe journey!
